Class #871
Artemis BJJ (MYGYM Bristol), Can Sönmez, Bristol, UK - 03/08/2017
Chris popped down to open mat today, so I did lots of drilling with him on the whizzer. Tweaking the leg out is important too. Kenny's version on the roll under sweep involves coming right up, though I think it could probably just about work when staying low too. Then again, it is unlikely to be as effective, as they can squish you much easier if you're already almost on your back. After drilling, I decided Kenny's version seems superior, so will probably stick to that from now on when it comes to teaching whizzer counters in the half guard. It's good to have more stuff to show, I've always felt rather limited in terms of my half guard repertoire for teaching.
