From what I remember I spent this afternoon drilling with Tracey, which is cool as she's had a few injuries that have kept her from her usual schedule recently. We ran through a few of the things she learned from the Dan Strauss seminar, which looked intriguing. E.g., there was a thing about putting your foot into the back of your knee to support that leg, making it harder for people to push it out of the way when you're recovering guard from side control. I'd be nervous about my ankle doing that, so it will be intriguing to see more details when I go to a Dan Strauss seminar myself in September.

We also did a bit of sparring: awesome to see Tracey able to roll again, she was moving pretty well and the pressure was certainly there. Good for me too, as being careful not to twist or press into injured parts means you have to try other things, as well as just generally being a good exercise for control. :D
