I had a good roll with Sam, it's been a while. It went the usual pattern, where I tried to block his knee cut pass, scooting backwards, until he would eventually get through. Having said that, I think I held him off longer than I have in the past. Also, at some point I got hold of a leg and moved on top, making it to north south. Gradually he managed to escape, nice and consistent, it never felt like I could fully progress to an attack, though I was still pleased to at least get to that point, Sam's knee shield is tough to get around. The over under pass appears to be the best way to do it: I focused on jamming my head into the hip. I should pick Matt H's brain about that pass some more, he's definitely the best at it in the club. Useful to have those tougher rolls, but I have no stamina for frequency: very tiring to try and chase Sam around as he looks for the pass. ;)
