I've been wanting to bring in some more spider guard for a while, which I tested out today. I went through the basic option with feet in elbow crooks, then shins into arms, finishing with the main one, the lasso. AJ de Sousa has a handy drill for the lasso, something I'm keen to incorporate. I started off with that, as I expected it wasn't all that easy to pick up.

I think that therefore the best option is to run through spider guard basics, getting everybody to do that drill. Doing it first in the warm up doesn't make sense, but I think it needs the context. I'll therefore try introducing the basics, along with that drill for teaching tomorrow.
