Teaching #793
Artemis BJJ (MYGYM Bristol), Can Sönmez, Bristol, UK - 30/07/2018

A simple kneebar (based on a great lesson Seymour taught at Borehamwood BJJ) begins by stepping forward against their open guard. Pressing into their leading leg, backstep so that you can then effectively sit on them. Shoot your arm under their leg, bringing it tight to your head. You want to treat their leg as a pillow. Shoot your outside leg underneath, then triangling your legs.

Drive your hips as your pull back with your arms, kneebar.

Teaching Notes: I didn't take notes apparently, but remember this class went pretty well. I should be doing more leglocks, with the intention to get students used to lower body submissions.
