19/07/2019 - Friday daytime, prepping for passes next week

Class #1167
Artemis BJJ (Easton Road), Can Sönmez, Bristol, UK - 19/07/2019

I ran through my usual half guard passing sequence. Useful for reminding me of a few details to emphasise on the twisting pass. First, your hip on the mat and in close. Second, knee into their hip and shift across to get them flat, I keep forgetting to mention that.

Also got in good rolls with Paulina again, it's fun playing with open guard combinations, plus fitting in that stuff from the dogfight we've been looking at a lot over the last couple of weeks. Naturally Paulina is a good 10kg lighter than me, so it's hard to know how much of an impact the size difference has (I suspect a fair bit), but either way, she's improved so much that she's a challenging roll now. I can't mess about, or she will pass. Excellent! :D
