31/07/2019 - BJJ Globetrotter Camp | Heidelberg 2019 | Liz Olbert, half guard to dogfight (variation)

Class #1176
BJJ Globetrotter Camp (Olympiastützpunkt Rhein-Neckar) Liz Olbert, Heidelberg, Germany, 31/07/2019

Half and deep half. Knee shield to roll under sweep sequence, but interesting variation. She doesn't go all the way to dogfight, relying on a tight inside hook instead. Sort of semi dogfight, avoiding the risk of them escaping their leg.

The drive down works the same, then for the roll under, she shoots her arm under the leg as she doesn't have that Leite hook. İf they post to block, she switches to deep half waiter sweep.

I was deeply confused by the guillotine class (because I still struggle to work out the mechanics of a basic guillotine, along with getting scared of hurting necks), so @liz_mellivora 's class on knee shield was a relief. Made WAY more sense! 😃 She showed some interesting variations on the dogfight Lucas Leite stuff I've been showing at @ArtemisBJJ over July, cutting out the dogfight part. 👍 İnstead of hooking the outside leg under their leg and swivelling up into the dogfight, she relies on a deep hook with her inside leg. She comes up almost to dogfight but not quite, meaning the leg has far less wiggle room. From there, the same techniques apply, plus a cool transition into deep half and waiter sweeps. 😎 #BrazilianJiuJitsu #BJJ #bjjGlobetrotter #bjjGlobetrottersHeidelberg #bjjGlobetrottersCamp #bjjGlobetrotters @bjjglobetrotters #ArtemisBJJatGlobetrotterCamp #BJJGlobetrotterCampHeidelberg2019 #Heidelcamp #SupportWomensBJJ @mariodrills
